What’s up in sports – Latvian athletes’ achievements, game results, celebrities’ lives off the pitch. Basketball and football each have their own special news sections.

• Event guide
Information on films screened at movie theaters, upcoming culture, arts and music events, concerts, news from clubs, theater performances and exhibitions in Riga and Latvia’s regions.

Information related to the given day – horoscopes, name days, this day in history, also weather forecast for this and two next days.

How to use

To start using wap.leta.lv, all you need is a mobile telephone supporting WAP and one of the GPRS data transmission services offered by LMT, TELE2 or BITE. After the data transmission service is activated, enter the wap.leta.lv address in the phone’s WAP browser.

You can also receive GPRS configuration data on your mobile phone as an SMS message:

• - If you are a TELE2 client – send the letter “G” to the number 8888
• - If you are an LMT client – send “PG” to the number 29319988
• - If you are a BITE client – send “START” to the number 1660

The service is currently available free of charge. LETA wap service fee does not cover the mobile phone operator’s GPRS data transmission service cost.

For subscribers to LETA news

Permanent subscribers to LETA news now can also view the news sections they have subscribed to on their mobile phones at wap.leta.lv.

To use the service, enter wap.leta.lv in your mobile phone’s Internet browser and go to “For Registered Users”. To view the news sections you have subscribed to, enter your username and password.

If you do not have individual username and password, you can apply for them by filling out the application. Should you have any questions, please get in touch with your client manager.
